AAGAZ

Aagaz is a Non-Profit making, Non-Government, Voluntary organization based in Ludhiana (Punjab, India) & Registered under Societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860) amended by Punjab Amendment Act (Registration No. 030 of 2004-05) named Aagaz Charitable Foundation working for the upliftment and empowerment of women and Children in rural areas and underprivileged in urban areas. The basic aim of this NGO is to work towards creating a humane and congenial society where our future generations can live in peace and harmony, radiating happiness all around. Hence the motto “We Care For our Future Generations.” This Organization shares the firm belief that the role of women, their mental make up and social-economic status is the basis for shaping our future society. Thus there is dire necessity for social and economic upliftment of women.

ACHEVEMENTS

1)Aagaz has provided counseling to the women in jails.

2)Counseling in Juvenile Cell

3)Mahila Mandal was revived in this village. The teachers of the already existing but poorly working pre-schools and a Stitching Centre were provided training in use of the latest techniques in teaching.

4)Awareness programmes were organized on the rights of children and adults.

5)Talks on good parenting and group counseling was organized to help the villagers keep their minds healthy.

6)A series of talk given by the dietician on good food habits for women & Children.

7)Awareness on Gynecological problems was given to rural women by city Doctors.

8)In December 2011 Anganwadi of Village Atiyana donated Education toys.

AIM/MISSION

This Organization strives to achieve its target through a three pronged strategy:-

1)Helping women improve their mental make up through psychological counseling (Pre-marital & Marital).

2)Strive to uplift their Social Status by educating them about the significance of the Girl-Child and laws against female feticide, protection against abuse and other social evils.

3)Making them economically self-reliant through financial guidance, strengthening their decision making process, training them for entrepreneurship as individuals or as self-help groups, career counseling for students and above all inculcating in them a sense of dignity of labour.

4)This society is putting in efforts to inculcate the habits of conservation and judicial use of our natural resources.
