Salaam Zindagi Charitable Trust
Salaam Zindagi Charitable Trust, an institution, established in 2008 with a vision
“Safe, Secure, Protected and Healthy Environment for All”. It was brought into
existence to serve as a link between those who have resources to share and those
who are deprived of such resources and are in dire need of help. This organisation,
through its various unique programs, is serving the humanity in all the possible
ways and means. It is actively working in the fields of Health, Education and
Community Development. It extends its support for the CAUSE, be it a help to the
victims of Natural Disaster, financial support to a poor patient, Women and Child
Welfare, Community rehabilitation or awareness campaigns.

How Salaam Zindagi India works:
The organization has Trustees and volunteer workers who collect funds relentlessly
from all segments of life, never refusing a donation – whether it be Rupee 1 or any
amount and acknowledging the donor thankfully with a receipt. Salaam Zindagi
Charitable Trust, India has never ever takes any funding from Government or
Private Organisation, it’s a self funded organisation and generate funds according to
the requirement directly from the community.  No one is a paid worker and Salaam
Zindagi India do not have any fixed liability, hence the cost of operation is less than
5%, this helps organization in using funds for the cause only. Organisation is are
catering for the poor and needy. Every donation made is authenticated with a
receipt from respective individual, firm or organization.

The Trust is a registered organization with UT Administration and with Income Tax
Department. Government of India under  Section 80G & 12A of INCOME TAX ACT,
1961, Chandigarh. Salaam Zindagi is also a registered organization with the NGO
partnership system of Planning Commision, Government of India, details can be

CURRENT INITIATIVES

AAO PADHAYEN EK ZINDAGI BANAYEN
Aao Padhayen Ek Zindagi Banayen - This drive is dedicated towards the
empowerment of school going children, who are still deprived of basic amenities

such as school bags,water bottles and lunch boxes. We believe that EVERY CHILD
HAS A DREAM of having beautiful school bags, water bottles, pencil box and lunch

box, these are the basic items, which create an interest for schooling in child. As per

our research and having discussions with respective Departments, approximately
40 thousand students in the region are enrolled under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan's
initiative of Special Training Centers.

FESTIVAL OF SHARING.
Since 2012, We at Salaam Zindagi India are organizing Sharing The Warmth drive in
Tricity; now renamed as “Festival Of Sharing”. Our mission is to protect and provide
maximum support to the people with less resources, which includes warm clothes,
blankets,quilts, bedding and other winter essentials to safeguard lives. This is the
5th year of Festival Of Sharing and our objective is to serve 80,000 underprivileged
children, women and men in the North Region of our Country .
#BRINGBACKOURKIDS
Bring Back Our Kids, is a unique and technology based intervention by NGO Salaam
Zindagi Charitable Trust to fight with Child trafficking and to eliminate this issue
from India. Child trafficking is increasing day by day and it is a big threat to our
country. Salaam Zindagi Charitable Trust India came into the picture when 3 years
old girl Jhanvi went missing from India Gate, New Delhi on 26th September,2014.
Organisation received a request from the parents and upon that request Team of
Salaam Zindagi went to Delhi.

DISASTER RELIEF MATERIAL MANAGEMENT.
Under the program Sharing The Warmth, we work for people affected due disaster
by providing Immediate Relief Material and Post Disaster Relief Help. We have
extended all the possible help by providing relief material during Leh Cloudburst,
Uttarakhand Disaster, Jammu and Kashmir floods by collaborating with various
other organisations and individuals. Whenever disaster occurs, community at large,
always come forward by extending help in terms of providing relief material and
other required helps.
