We are an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organisation working for the holistic development of parentless children, women and children belonging to vulnerable families. Founded in 1949 in Austria, SOS Children's Villages began its operations in India in 1964. For over 50 years, we have reached out to over 25,000 children through our 32 SOS Children's Villages and 32 community projects in India.

SOS Children's Villages of India was established in 1964 at Faridabad near Delhi. SOS India  has worked with children, communities, disaster struck and disaster prone areas, giving hope to weary communities and families. SOS India is the largest operation within the SOS International Federation of 134 countries.

Current Activity

SOS Children’s Village Rajpura became operational in 1996. Presently, the total number of children of different age groups living under our care in Rajpura is over 150 in 14 family homes under the care of 13 dedicated mothers, one mother trainee and two aunts. All children at SOS Village Rajpura are enrolled in formal schools and attend colleges and other professional institutes for their higher education.
What we provide to our children in Rajpura Village is a congenial environment where children grow up feeling loved, valued and nurtured to their full potential. All festivals of national and international importance are celebrated with great enthusiasm in the village. Various activities and workshops are also regularly organized to inculcate family values and bonds amongst the children.
