The statement "Children are the future of the nation" stops making sense, then! In fact, it sounds like an ominous prophecy.Swabhimaan NGO believes that the desired changes in the lives of such children will come only when more and more privileged people start participating proactively in finding a solution. The NGO also believes that the only way to ensure a better future for these children is by educating them.That is because education is both the means as well as the end; it empowers these children and evolves them as better citizens. In the year 2008, a group of young Engineers from Ludhiana sat to pay back to the society and country who had given them much, a nostalgic moment, love for the country, their eyes seeing the faces of millions of Indians, underprivileged, poor by birth, deprived, would remain so unless a difference was made to their lives. All of these educated entrepreneurs valued EDUCATION and knew that it held the key to changing lives & thoughts and imparted values of religion and nationalism. Ideas materialized into the dream project to provide free and need-based education which one needs in life time - In the proper environment of a class room with proper chairs/desks, blackboards, playgrounds and trained teachers, along with good books and TV & educational CDs as help for the modern education system at school. The poorest locality in Haibowal, Ludhiana, consisting of poor migrant laborers, sweepers and housemaids was chosen and an institution is progressing towards excellence today. Our aim is to help the poor persons irrespective of caste, color, creed, race or Religion to gain education by starting more & more projects in particular areas as per their requirements and needs. WHAT THEY DO: 1)Provide basic education to poorest of poor so that learn to read and write and become responsible citizens on growing up. 2)We pick a locality where there are poor children whose parents either work or can't afford education 3)Poor and school dropout children who play on streets when their parents are away are brought to school for education 4)We provide facilities like in the best of modern schools and impart the children education with all modern and traditional techniques. 5)Our teachers learn new teaching techniques and we try to use better methods for everlasting education 6)We teach them good health, family, cultural and national spirit values 7)Motivate children and get them to know their rights as children and Indians 8)Physical and mental development, upgradation of IQ and general knowledge 9)Emphasis on holistic development of the students by making them acquire stress-resistance, value-base ethos, communication skills, team spirit & awareness about new technologies 10)To make them health conscious and instill in them values of good food, hygiene and body care 11)In fact, every day everthing new ideas are brought into shape to impart good education CONTACT INFORMATION: Telephone Number:+91-161-4627032 Mobile Number: 99888-24432 Email id: swabhimaan-ngo@hotmail.com
